Here at Laythams, we enjoy the variety of events that Ribble Valley has to offer. So we thought it was only fitting for us to compile a list of all the things you may want to check out.
20th August–Interested in the Pendle witch trials?
Well why not join a walking tour?
Pendle Walking Festival is a free event and includes guided walks through the historic sites of the Trials.
28th August–Tales around the Table.
Fond of oral storytelling? Or what about the Brontës? Perhaps you would enjoy spending time as they would. Exchanging stories around the kitchen table. You can find out more about this event at www.eventbrite.co.uk.
1st September–Star Gazing at Stirk House.
How about a night of stargazing to get the month going? Enjoying the autumn skies with food and drink,surrounded by the 16th Century Manor House.
15th-16th October –Clitheroe Castle Ghost Hunt.
Who doesn’t love a night of paranormal activity? Clitheroe Castle is the centre of many a folk tale and spooky story. Come and hunt the origins of these myths and legends.
30th October–Halloween Activity at Beacon Fell Country Park.
Why not get your Halloween spirit (pun intended) going with the Halloween Activity at Beacon Fell Country Park. A family friendly event with a café on site.
18th November– The Leonid Meteor Shower.
The Leonid Meteor shower will be lighting up the sky and on Dunsop Bridge, you can be guided through the
constellations. Spend some time in the beautiful Forest of Bowland while the sky is shot with meteors.
3rd December – Murder at the Masked Ball.
Ferraris Country House Hotel is holding an evening of suspense and mystery with an Interactive Murder Mystery. If you are anywhere near Thorney, Preston: it may be an excellent event to check out.
