Budget Christmas Presents

Ok, so there are always those last few people to buy Christmas presents for, and here at Laythams, we appreciate that you will want to save as much money as possible, so we have collected some tips for you to use this season.

Recycling – We all have those gifts that are given to us on birthdays or ornaments that are in the cupboard because they don’t fit with our décor. Why not brush off the dust and pass it on. One man’s rubbish is another’s treasure after all. Example: That book that you were meaning to read two years ago.

DIY – What are your skills? Are you a painter, musician, sculptor or writer? Why not use those skills to make something truly unique. The time you spend on gifts is what’s truly priceless. Example: Old CD mobile, use fish wire and paint over old CDs to make a hanging for the ceiling.

Personal Coupon – Why not offer your services or time? Give them a coupon for a specific task or favour. Examples: a coupon for putting up furniture or a coupon for driving them home from the weekly shopping trip.

As a personal touch, why not make a couple of Christmas cards for the ones you hold closest? Or do something romantic for your other half, make them dinner or give them a massage. Be spontaneous and go for a walk in the local park. There are so many ideas in order for you to make this Christmas extra special for your friends and family!

Do you have any ideas or tips? Or perhaps someone gave you a truly thoughtful gift that made your Christmas? Why not comment below?

Have a very Merry Christmas from all at Laythams, have a wonderful time with your loved ones.
