Christmas is on the horizon here at Laythams. The leaves have all fallen, the air is frosty and some parts of the UK have said hello to the snowfall. Our animals are all safely tucked into their hay-filled barns waiting for the festivities to commence.
If you are visiting us here at Laythams in the run up to Christmas there’s plenty of festive activities to sink your snow filled boots into. From festive Santa visits to Grotto’s and fairs, we’ve compiled a list of some of our recommendations for you and the family to get involved in over this Christmas period.
Christmas is coming to Thorton Hall Farm –From 28 Nov – 20 Dec- “Twas the month before Christmas and all through the farm, the creatures were talking about the man in the barn!”
Santa is back for Christmas 2015 at Thornton Hall Farm Country Park – book in for breakfast, lunch & tea with the man in red on selected dates. So many extra activities as well as all the usual farm fun – meet our elves, visit Santa’s Grotto, carriage trips to the reindeer park, face painting & pony rides.
Santa’s grand arrival – 29 Nov – Come along to Botany Bay to catch Santa arriving from the sky in his helicopter sleigh. Take a seat in the Grotto to secure your Christmas treats from Santa himself.
Preston’s Christmas festival – 21 Nov – 1 Jan – Explore Lancashire Christmas market before taking a glide on the ice rink and indulging in a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate from the bar. Take a peek at the hot food challets and chomp on a bratwurst to warm your insides up.
