The Inn At Whitewell provides fabulous catering, a beautiful venue and a welcoming reception, St Peter’s of Stonyhurst, situated within the historic school grounds, has spectacular views which make every wedding picture magical. Or choose from several local smaller churches for a more classical, romantic or spiritual experience.

We recommend day trips to Clitheroe or Skipton Castles, where children can play freely on the grounds and learn more about the history of England; visit the Yorkshire Dales for an invigorating family walk; take the whole family horse riding; get closer to nature by taking a guided ride through the Forest of Bowland; take a quick drive to Blackpool for donkey rides on the beach, a tram-ride down the famous Golden Mile or a white-knuckle ride at the world-renowned Pleasure Beach!

Indulge in a couples treatment day, where both can relax and unwind in a tranquil spa, such as the Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa or The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village. Or visit a stately home, like Browsholme Hall or Hoghton Tower, where you can walk hand-in-hand and drink in the beautiful scenery. Or after a long walk or bike ride you may like to try one of the many fabulous local pubs for a spot of fine dining and a glass of bubbly.

We recommend the Gisburn Forest Cycleway which provides some of the best mountain biking in England; take in the sights with a hot air balloon ride and spot more great trails from the bird eye view!  Or take a trip to nearby Rossendale for some dry-slope skiing.

The night skies over The Forest of Bowland have recently been recognized as some of the darkest in England and granted official status as Dark Sky Discovery Sites, take a look at their website for more infomation!
