Off grid, lovingly restored barn conversion, set in 3 acres, with its own private lake & woodland. The Lakehouse is perfect for forest bathing and watching the multitude of wildlife that visits and lives here. Powered by the wind and sun, with water alkalised and filtered from our own spring on Burn Fell, this really is a place to reconnect with nature and those around you.
The ground floor in an open plan space with underfloor heating. The lounge is a combination of comfy sofas, leather reading chairs by the fire, and armchairs plus a giant pouffe facing the lake view window. The wood burner is a great centre piece for the beautiful exposed brick wall which has tiny windows, which frame the light, and are ever changing with the weather.
You can watch the large TV cinema style, with surround sound. We have a blue tooth connection, and speakers throughout the property so you can listen to all your favourite tunes wherever you like with the same incredible sound quality.
The professional kitchen includes, a large double fridge/freezer with ice and chilled water function, combi microwave/oven/steam oven, dual temperature wine fridge, induction hob, ESSE range cooker, dishwasher and instant boiling water tap. Our cupboards are full with all you’ll need to make use of this incredible space, from baking a cake to a more formal dinner party.
As you step out of the kitchen door, you are immediately in the outside dining area, making eating and socialising on a sunny day seamless. There’s a barbeque and luxury dining table and chairs, making this space an extension of the kitchen. The hot tub is also here with an outside shower to rinse off before you take a dip!
The sauna and wet room, which includes, rain, hand held and cold plunge shower is on the ground floor. We have a bedroom with a kingsize and single bed on this level, which is ideal for families, or customers who may need a carer on hand during the night. There’s a small laundry room with washing machine and hand washing sink right by the front door.
The Lakehouse mezzanine floor is great to take in another perspective of this incredible building. We have countless skylights and windows reaching high into the exposed beams and dotted along the exposed brick walls.
The ensuite master bedroom, mezzanine bedroom and bathroom are all directly off the mezzanine floor. They all have skylights so you can enjoy a luxurious bath, or fall asleep looking at the stars.
The Lakehouse is an accessible property. The wide doorways and open plan flagged floors allow ease of movement for those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues. The immediate outdoor area is flagged and on one level. All the facilities you need are on ground level, including the wet room, which has a wide doorway, shower seat and grab rails.

"The house and David's support and communication were wonderful! We stayed a week with 3 couples, toured and walked the area, toured Liverpool, played golf and went to the British Open. What a beautiful setting. All the bedrooms are excellent and the kitchen is first class. We ate at all the local pubs, went to church in the village, and went to sleep every night to the soft sounds of the sheep nearby. David helped out at the last minute when we needed to print a form to get on a fancy golf course. Everything in the house worked and was very comfortable."
"We shared a family holiday here last weekend. The House is beautiful. Spacious and comfortable perfect for a large group. The Houses facilities made it a very pleasant and relaxed stay. You feel you are living in Luxury in a remote and beautiful part of the country. Short drives to Slaidburn and Clitheroe which are great places to visit both in there own way. And you can walk to other nearby villages, and lovely local pubs. David was on hand and dropped over when we needed him, a very accommodating host."
“Our stay was excellent, and was ideal as a family getaway. We were really impressed with the accommodation which was completed to a particularly high standard, clean and spacious. The sauna and hot tub were an added bonus to the enjoyment of our stay. The owner was attentive and available. We would certainly like to revisit the property in the near future and is highly recommended.”
"Had a great stay with the family. David is a great host and quick to respond. The house is also beautiful, in a stunning location. We felt the photos didn't do the the house justice. Overall can not recommend highly enough! Many Thanks"
"If you want a place to get away from everything then this place is perfect. It’s has amazing facilities for if you want to get away from it all. Hot tub, large kitchen, board games and big communal area. Host was welcoming and friendly. Cannot recommend it more."
"We had a great time at the Lakehouse, we were a group of 3 couples and there was plenty of room. The bedrooms were a great size and the hot tub and sauna were a highlight of the weekend (even in the rain!) We took a lovely walk to nearby villages - beautiful pubs nearby in totally unspoilt countryside. Couldn't recommend enough, we will be back!"
